Law Firm Office
History of the First BKM Office
Starting in 2007, the BKM Law Firm was initially located in downtown Katowice, in the historic Dr. WÄ™dlikowski House at the junction of PCK and Maria SkÅ‚odowska – Curie Streets, at number 10. The building, which dates back to 1939, is one of 16 structures selected by the Silesian Centre for Cultural Heritage in Katowice to be part of the Katowice Modernism Trail (the building's façade is characterized by a dominant white color, complemented by black on the inter-window pillars, creating distinctive stripes). The building is listed in the register of historic monuments under number A/162/05.

History of the Current BKM Office
In 2014, BKM relocated its office close to the Dr. WÄ™dlikowski House, to a building situated at ul. PCK 6. This structure was designed by one of the most distinguished architects of the Modernist era, Karol Julian Schayer, for the advocate Wojciech Å»ytomirski. The building was constructed between 1935 and 1938. Similar to the house at PCK 10, the building at ul. PCK 6 is one of the 16 most valuable examples of Katowice modernism in the city center—part of the Katowice Modernism Trail. The house at ul. PCK 6 featured a number of interesting, sometimes innovative solutions for the time—it was, among other things, one of the first multi-family residential buildings in Katowice during the interwar period to incorporate the idea of winter gardens. It was awarded the title of "Mister of Polish Construction" in 1938.
